Fox 59 Indianapolis, Hoosiers pause to remember September 11th attacks

Hoosiers across the state found their own ways to remember the 12th anniversary of September 11th.

Indianapolis Project 9/11 held a memorial program downtown. The program featured keynote speaker, Don Bacso, a 9/11 survivor.

Bacso was working in One World Trade Center when the first plane hit. He made it out of the tower and down the street before the building collapsed.

Wednesday’s program took place next to the Indianapolis 9/11 memorial. As part of the ceremony, Bacso set a wreath at the base of the steel beams from the World Trade Center.
